Yamaha LLX400

Unread post by Mimasu » Sun Sep 01, 2019 5:28 pm

I'm a collector of vintage Yamaha's. Every few years I get the urge to sell my newer, non vintage, Yamaha's and put the money in new vintage ones. Let's say to keep the collection alive.

Best non vintage guitar I owned for a long time and used gigging was a LSX-400. Fantastic guitar, superb playability. KInd of a high end Yamaha early 2000's, undervalued, and they got dumped by a lot of stores when Yamaha started a new high end series, LL26 etc.

Bought a LLX26C a few years ago. Sold my LSX-400 shortly after that.

Than I found a vintage high end Yamaha, a 1983 L25A. The sound was fantastic. Playability OK, but not like my LLX26C or the LSX400 I had.

Yesterday I picked up a LLX400. Sound is great. Perhaps not like my L25A, but sure she can hold up with my LLX26C.

I said it before and I'm saying it again: The early 2000's LL and LS series are the most underrated guitars Yamaha ever made.

And they look great!
