SY-35 battery check

Unread post by nuttelaboi » Thu Mar 21, 2019 1:29 pm

Hey there, is there any way to check the battery power on SY-35? Something like EDIT16-32 on DX7? Thanks for your replies. :D

Hmmm - it looks as there isn't a way to check the battery's voltage 'from the outside' :?

Either the user manual nor the service manual mentions a battery check. Apparently the internal test routine too doesn't check the battery... 8O

Thanks for your replies Miks, you help me a lot. 0-)

Hmm, a peculiar problem. Previous owner of my SY35 didn't change the battery for 27 years so I have to do it very quickly! I just wanted to test the voltage before I start.

I changed the battery in mine some time ago, the only way of testing the voltage was manually with a multi-meter.

Does the 35 have no Test Menu? (A power-on, holding down certain keys/buttons to access it)

Battery voltage is usually included as one of the tests . . . . ?
