Mic attachment to Yamaha S770.

Unread post by AllanOzart » Thu Jul 04, 2019 4:48 am

Hey there.
Its a pleasure to play yamaha products and have been using them for past 15 years.
I have Yamaha s770 and suits me perfectly. I wanted to know how to attach a mic in it. Does it need any other external device to make the mic work or direct plugging in can do so. Coz i have used 3 different mics but still it's not working. The guitar plays wonderfully in that keyboard. But am not able to connect a mic and play or listen my voice in it through the mic. Please help me. Is there a problem in the keyboard????

Hi Allan, and welcome to the Forums . . . .

Without looking extensively, it sounds like you have to change a setting from <Line> to <Mic>

This may be a switch on the rear of the S770 - or somewhere in the menus . . . .

A Mic will not work with a line input . . . .

Another solution would be to use a small mixer to input the Mic - and then feed the LINE output to the S770 . .

But I think you should not have to do this . . .

Check the settings I mentioned . . . (Y)
