Hi Milansx and welcome to the forums . . . .

My guess would be that a shock-loading of this sort may well have dislodged some to the internal ribbon cables or other connectors.

Only way to check is to open it up and visually check that all such connectors are fully in place . . .

I opened it and the circuit board not the main board but t he smaller circuit where you connect power adaptor and guitar or mic .. on the board there is a regulator soldered ( small plastic rectangle shaped piece ) (IC100 ).. the solder points are loose and the regulator is loose .. could that be the problem ? I have don’t know anything about circuit boards or what does the regulator do any advice would help thanks

Hi Milansx,

I suppose that IS the problem! A (voltage) regulator 'takes' a higher voltage at its input and turns it into a lower voltage at its output (simplified description). And when a regulator's solder tabs are loose then there's most likely no voltage output and the unit doesn't work!

Could you take some good pictures (from different angels/views) and add them here (via the attachments tab) so one can take a closer look at the pcb? Please show both sides of the pcb - component side as well as the solder side if possible...

Best,
Miks

Did you resolder the 'legs' of the IC100? The 'solder blobs' have lifted off the pcb and ripped off some of the copper traces. You can scrape the green color off so the plain copper is visible an then resolder the three 'legs' of the IC100 so they make proper contact to the traces again. At the moment I don't think there's the need for a new circuit board...

Is the ic100 a regulator ? Could that be the problem why the keyboard is acting like that ?

I don't know - I tried to find it on a schematic but haven't found it there yet - will have another look.

But one thing's for sure - that part is necessary for the PSR to operate properly!

Edit:

Ok, found it - it's a NJM78M12FA which is a +12V/500mA regulator!

This photo appears to show the center leg of the +12V regulator broken away from the PCB. This is concerning because the regulator will not function properly and the unregulated 16V from the input could pass through to the ouput. It would be best to get that repaired before attempting to power the unit up again.
