Hello from Brazil/Portugal

Unread post by Omelete » Tue Jun 11, 2019 7:19 pm

Hi everyone!
I'm from Brazil, but I live in Portugal. I became a Yamahist recently. I've bought 2 Silents, one nylon and one steel, and a Thr5A, so I could put batteries and play at the streets. The Thr5 has a very nice little tone, I found it very nice for both guitars. The problem, as someone here posted is that it doesn't get very loud, and depending on how you strum, it will crash (sorry, don't know the right word). I'll try to post a little video. Sorry about my english! See you all later!

Hi Marcelo, welcome to the forum and the string section. :D

I'm also a THR fan, and the happy owner of a SLG-100S

Using a THR-5A for street playing should be loud enough to get peoples attention.
Once the batteries are close to worn down, the amp will shut off.
Is this what you mean by "crashing" ?

Don't worry about the language, we read you loud and clear. ;)

Best Regards
Peter

Hi, thank's for the welcome! What I meant was that it distorts the lows when you strum harder, even in low volumes. It would be much more useful if the Thr5A had at least the double of power, I think, because the tone is pretty nice.
