I did it... bought an FS1R !!!

Hi all,

Well, I thought my 2019 GAS episode was finished for good on 2020  ... But after reading so nice things on that module and listening to some stunning demos, well, I could not pass the only one I have seen for sale in Spain during last months, at a reasonable price (if 700 EUR is reasonable  )

I will receive it next week, but at least on all-angle pictures the seller published, it is in extremely good shape, with no scratches except some marks on rack screws area (which will be covered with the screws and plastic protectors on my rack)

So, well, another great YAMAHA synth will get soon into my studio, and I am very happy for that :)

I think €700 is a good price given their rarity. I have seen them advertised for £2,000 (€2,300). I got mine for £300 (€350) in 2005, but they came on the market a little more often back then. It is the only time when an item was on eBay as an auction that I used the buy it now option, as I had been looking for one for a while, and I was happy to pay £300 to ensure that it was mine.

I have said many times that value is in the eyes of the beholder. Some will think that is too high a price, but if you are prepared to pay that price to get what you want, bearing in mind that supply and demand will set the price, then it is a good price to you. :) If you see what I mean.

I don't use my FS1r much, but I will never sell it. If ever I have a track where I want to add a little something on top of what I already have that does not get in the way, then the FS1r will usually give me something!

Congrats Jose ((i)) ((i)) ((i))

I don't think €700 is too much. It is so rare and prices keep going up. Plus of course it is a really nice synth so I think it was a good buy (Y)

Super! I really like mine, it's more capable than any of my other programmable synths.
