Any proper way to convert fm sounds made with sy99 to fs1r?

Unread post by Mickeykeyman » Sun Jan 15, 2017 11:21 am

Hi,

A while ago I created some useful fm patches with SY99 (which is not with me anymore...)

Recently I purchased fs1r, and now I would like to know if there is any way to dump the patches to fs1r?

I have fs.factory.

Hi,

I am not aware of anything to do this, and one challenge would be the fact that the FS1r is compatible with "6 OP vanilla FM", so if you used any of the extra algorithms and features of AFM in the SY99, then it might be very tricky. Ditto re the SY99 filter and looping envelopes. Whilst the FS1r has a filter, it is not as organic sounding as the one in the SY range.
