Adjusting pedal

Unread post by rmanasa » Tue Jul 09, 2019 5:50 pm

Greetings-

I have a couple of CB83742 expression pedals. They both go from zero to full volume in about 1/4" of the roughly 4" available pedal range. How can I adjust this, so the volume increases in a more linear/less logarithmic fashion?

Looking forward to your reply. Thank you!

Hi Rick, welcome to the forums :)

Isn't there a screw type adjuster on the bottom of this pedal? I have the FC7 which is similar and that works in the same way.

I rarely use a pedal though so perhaps some of our other keyboard players can chip in here?

Hi Saul -

I don't see my response to your post and welcome, so here it is again.

Thanks for the welcome! lol I'm attaching a photo of the bottom of the pedal. There are a couple of adjustments, but the one labeled "Spring Point Adj." doesn't seem to do anything, and the other labeled "Pedal Angle Set" is equally obtuse. The screw just comes in and out of the hole but doesn't allow for any adjustment. The plate held by the other two might offer some lateral balance security if reversed, but other than that I don't know what the plate or screws are for.

Reattaching image. 'Hope this post sticks. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks for that Miks.

@Rick I just checked my F7 pedal and really all it does is alter the spring point not the point at which the activation takes place. Not exactly sure if that is to do with the pedal or the keyboard settings. Can anyone else shed any light on this?
