For over 40 years, the FG series has continued to offer outstanding quality and tone on affordable instruments. These player favorites have played countless gigs, written thousands of songs and are heard by millions of people year after year.
Just purchased a 1969 Yamaha FG 150 Nippon Gakki off ebay for $300 which is in great cosmetic condition. Stupidly, I didn't ask about the action which is really high and needs a neck reset to fix. Neck resets in NY run approx $700. I can afford the neck rest but is a lot of money relative to the cost of the guitar. These guitars sound and play really well when they are structurally set up properly. Any thoughts from others who have been in this similar position and what they ended up doing.
