DTX 502 module output

Unread post by GFdrmr »

Hi all, first post in this forum. I have a quick question about the outputs of the DTX 502 module... are the unbalanced or balanced. Looking for the best way to connect to a mixer and I know there's a difference between the two. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Miks. That's what I thought. Is it because the manual refers to them as mono outputs?

Actually this pic from the manual totally confirms it's unbalanced. "Standard mono audio jack"

Unbalanced. So
< 5m instrument mono jack to jack(s) --> mixer
>5m instrument mono jack to jack(s) --> DI(s) --> XLR(s) --> mixer

Thanks for clearing up the outputs.
If I’m just using the L/mono output, going to a mixer, will I just need a cable with TS connection or TRS connections?

TS - the outputs are TS/mono/unbalanced.

As per the manual and picture posted above.
