I use a yamaha qy300 midi sequencer.
on page 74 of the manual:
(https://nl.yamaha.com/files/download/ot ... Y300E1.pdf)
it talks about preset phrases where type O is a fill loop and X is a fill cross.
iwhat does yamaha mean? ie: what is the difference between a drum fill loop and a drum fill cross?
If you still need to know...
My best guess:
fill loop is fill AA or fill BB - plays fill and goes back to style "main" you were playing
Fill cross is fill AB or BA - plays fill and goes to the style variation you were not playing
thankyou jdaniels I finally got round to checking this out (11pm at night) and what you say seems right.
the AA fill should be used between main A and back to main A whereas AB is the appropriate fill to transition from main A to main B.
I hope I'm right.
