Is the soft pedal on YC affect the piano ? I thought it wasn’t but using my M8X, the YC CFX piano tone change when I used my M8X second footswitch set to midi channel 67. I used my montage to play also with pianoteq.
I thought the soft pedal was not effective on the YC. My YC CFX piano tone is set to noon (around 63) and the filter is set to 50. So when I pressed the soft pedal, the sound really changes.

I do not have a YC. I was surprised because I have not seen soft pedal support being mentioned in any Motif/Montage/Montage M documents.
I took a look at the YC owner's manual. It mentions soft pedal in a number of places. Based on that, it looks as if the YC supports it for its piano tones.
I took another look at the Montage M manuals to confirm that it does not mention soft pedal.
