The AvantGrand features two legendary concert grands in one hybrid piano and with a small footprint, the AvantGrand delivers a seamless unity of acoustic elements and refined technology.
Hi! I'm an M3X user (love it -- sounds so incredible and fits in our small apartment). Something I can't figure out which should be possible but I can't find in the (skimpy) manual or online, that should be similar across AvantGrand models:
With an external USB stick, I can record to MIDI or to WAV (or other Audio file). What I would like to do is record to MIDI, then on my computer/MIDI-workstation edit out any wrong notes, smooth a few trills, etc., and then take that MIDI back to the M3X and record it as a WAV.
Everything works except I cannot figure out how to play back a MIDI file and record to a WAV file at the same time. It seems like it should be possible, but I'm at a loss. I even have the bluetooth MIDI adapter and other gear so that if it's a problem from reading and writing to the same disk there should be a way around it.

I don't think the N3X allows recording during song playback (see note on p.34 of the Owner's Manual). The instrument can probably only handle one file at a time.
In order to make an audio recording of your MIDI files, the way they sound on the AvantGrand, you'll have to record the audio from your piano's AUX outputs onto an external device (handheld recorder, tape deck, computer, etc.).
