One of the most prolific musical creators of the last 60+ years. Much of the music that is thought to be someone else was due to Quincy Jones involvement either directly of indirectly. He was to Michael Jackson what George Martin was to the Beatles.
Also used to great effect all the early synths with the help of some now known synth wiz kids in the industry. He knew how to get the right people for the job.

That’s right…I forgot about that. I was saying to someone today how I thought I knew a good bit about all his contributions, but throughout the day I keep finding out more.
Sanford and Son theme-listening to that is a lesson in arranging in itself. I have an original Quincy Jones album I bought around 1970. Time to pull it out of the archives and listen to it again.
