Additionally, there are 'bit rip' software that can copy a floppy bit by bit. Doesn't look for Dos formatting; literally just creating an image of the disk on your hard drive. I think it was called Root Ripper or something like that. So if your drives aren't aligned to each other (ie using a cheaper modern PC floppy drive), that might be worth a shot
