yeah it worked ok for me
got the download

looking for mellotron sound like king crimson use
can't find it on the mx61
it's on this download apparently
but when you load all it overwrites your mx data and you have to factory reset to get it all back
and then lose all the performances youve saved

any one know if you can just use the mellotron voice from this download

Just checking but you followed all the instructions given by Michael as below?

(1) From Yahoo Mail I sent an email to motifnews@easysounds.de with Subscription to the Yamaha Music Production Guide in the subject line and nothing in the body.

(2) From the Easy Sounds site I subscribed to both the Music Production Guide and the newsletter.

(3) I received an email from vertrieb@easysounds.de with Your newsletter subscription in the subject line, and I clicked the link in it to confirm my newsletter subscriptions. The email said I had to do this or my email address would not be entered into their database.

(4) I had also received an email from motifnews@easysounds.de with YAMAHA Music Production Guide & Goodies in the subject line.

(5) After noting the email address listed in that email for requesting the "MX Goodies," from Yahoo Mail I sent an email to mxgoodies@easysounds.de with MX Goodies in the subject line and "MX Goodies" in the body. Note that the email said to put Yamaha Goodies in the subject line, but for some reason-- whether by mistake or by intent-- I instead put MX Goodies in the subject line.

(6) I received an email back from mxgoodies@easysounds.de with Downloadlinks Yamaha MX Goodies in the subject line.

If you've already done the first four steps-- especially the third one-- and have finally received the email from motifnews@easysounds.de, then try the sixth step again.

Did anyone find the free sounds? I have an MX61 and would like to try some new sounds.

I got the confirmation email, then the 2nd email with the personal voucher code. I followed the instructions and the video guide. It tries to charge me 13 Euros via PayPal for the "free" sounds (the voucher only covers 20 of the 33 euros cost). Doesn't appear to be free anymore, so it's gonna be a pass for me. Either the sounds are no longer free or it's region-dependent, idk. No worries, sounds on the MX88 will be good enough for me.

On a whim, I tried stepping through with the prepayment option, there it did not accept the code, but allowed me to complete the transaction, apparently accepting on honor that I'd send or wire the remainder of the payment? It wasn't really clear how that part should work. It's looking for a SEPA transfer of EUROS prior to sending the download link via email, which hasn't arrived, and I suspect won't, since I didn't send the prepayment. It did send me 2 PDF's, both were in German and neither contained any links.

I'll check my inbox tomorrow to see if they send any further info or links for download. Was worth a try.

If they are advertising "Free" sounds then they should, in fact, be FREE!

If they are charging you, or trying to, then the sounds are not free.

I know there are still free sound packs out there. The Bomba Latina MX SoundSet is free and you can download it here:

Although if I remember correctly, that was not the original Free sound pack that we have previously discussed on the forum
