Sometimes I stay logged in for days, even without using the "remember me" option. And sometimes, I get logged out multiple times a day. In my case, it seems to be related to switching networks. If the internet connection changes, then I often get automatically logged out.
If your ip address changes, which is often the case because most are not fixed, then yes you may be logged out. This is the same for all phpbb forums as far as I am aware.

Maybe that is happening? Last week I was logged out maybe 3 or 4 times and this week I have stayed logged in the entire week so far. However no big deal ..if I see an ad pop up then I just log in ..only takes a few seconds!

Not in australia ISP's have had default sticky IP's for several years now whether you want it or not.
my dynamic IP has been the same for so long I forget when it last changed.
