My Yamaha keyboard is just displaying the word <update> in the display. Model is PSR-E263...I have also tried resetting by long-pressing C6 key and turning on the keyboard. No use. It is always just showing <update>. Nothing works. No sound. No buttons are working except the power button. Kindly help..
This seems to be a really common problem with these keyboards. On the 300 series and up it can usually be resolved by a reset or holding the memory button down whilst powering on.
However the 200 series does not have a memory button. So the only option is to try a reset by holding down the last white key at the furthest right side of the keyboard whilst powering on. Once the power is on, release the key and the keyboard should initialize. If that does not work, there seems to be no solution other than replacing the keyboard.
