Would that be enough for people to buy a Kronos 2025, assuming that it is similarly priced to the Yamaha Montage M and Roland Fantom EX?
Boot time of my 2014 X61 has never bothered me because I know why it takes 3 minutes or so and the benefits it brings. When I start up in my studio, the Kronos has finished booting by the time everything else is ready, and on stage I have a UPS to protect me from power glitches, and if anybody can set up on stage in three minutes or less, then I take my hat off to them. I.e. boot time has NEVER been a problem for me.

Can't say I've ever seen UI speed problems.

For me if there would need to be a compelling need to upgrade, but maybe swapping out a ten year old model for a younger one could be an advantage.

But if KARMA is dropped like it was on the Nautilus then I would not be upgrading, unless I could get an external KARMA solution to drive it.

Thanks for the kind words about the web site, everybody! (Y)

Quite possibly, the new(er) KRONOS is a spiff of the earlier model. I wish I had more information to offer, but my source is a paragraph of marketing-speak. I don't discuss sources much anymore as corporations get wise and plug holes.

Hope I'm right because I like competition.

Thanks again.
Meanwhile, it seems Nautilus is being sold at historically low prices.

Eventually the next Roland Fantom so there's that coming might be enough to make people hesitate and save up.

I certainly hope that after all this, the "years" of waiting for the new Kronos - they didn't keep the, virtually exact, same hardware...

I wonder why Korg, when launching the new Kronos, uses the exact same screen used for the old Kronos.

Intriguingly, as NAMM approaches, the Oasys has resurfaced on Andertons' YouTube channel, coinciding with speculation regarding a new or updated Kronos model. Given Korg's Luke involvement, this could be considered a prelude to a significant announcement perhaps... you got me, fellers...

I am keeping an eye on this one with everyone else.

One thing I have to remind myself, but, they all do the exact same things with same technology from 30 years ago in an updated enclosure with faster processors. That old saying "There's nothing new under the sun" is basically still correct.

Even PAT (I can't believe modern boards now have PAT!!!) except that that's also really old technology.

Probably the WaveState is the only really exciting thing and again it still really old technology. So funny we're so gullible but it's all in good musical fun.

One day I'm like I finally have everything I've ever wanted in my studio and the next day I'm like, I need to sell everything in my studio.
