It is not a matter of what is "technically correct". Polarity is a term widely used with pedals and everyone knows what it refers to. That's all we need. In fact Keyboard manufacturers refer to the "polarity" of a pedal. The question is can you change it within the MODX/Montage menu and the answer to that is no, or at least I have not found anything that lets you do that.

Right. And the word "polarity" can refer to anything with two opposite states, it does not have to be electrical.

Agreed.

In this case it's just a handy way to describe the concept . . . .

Exactly. Top/Bottom, Up/down, On/Off and of course Plus/Minus. There are technical terms for a lot of things but we don't use them because most of us are not engineers and scientists. Instead we use words that "convey" a meaning and that is easily understood. It works, why break it?

Sorry to repeat this question. I tried the MODX8 and the key bed/action felt very good.

The MODX6 key bed action does not interest me. A non starter.

Does MODX7 have the same exact action, key bed as the 61 key model ? Only diff is 1 more octave on the MODX7 ?

A bit more than an octave, but... correct.
