SC1200 in USA and canada tend to go for 8-900 euro and only 1 or 2 show up a year. Most are in fair condition.
I saw one on the Japanese Yahoo Auctions a month ago for around $500 starting bid that wasn't getting any takers. I thought about getting it until I saw the two of the pickup switch gone. Seemed too much of a work to replace at the time.

There's one for sale here
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-SC120 ... SwGmZb6BXQ
But it's collection only in Solihull which is just a bit too far unless it was an absolute bargain and whilst this one is not a bad price it's not really cheap.

Been kicking meself for 35 years for buying a '79 Strat instead of one of these. It's ten minutes from me, but I don't have the spare dough. I've seen them going for a lot more than that - there was one in Blackpool a few years back going for around twice that.
Here's hoping he/she is still listing it in the new year.

Welcome to the forum if it's still listing in the new year are you considering it? I know I would if it were close to me.

Maybe?
I've actually been GASing for a Tokai LS150 for a while, because I want an R9, but I can't justify paying £6k. I've owned a 1000 and 2000 since the early '80s, really want something that does 'classic '59', and they don't, but I can't bring myself to take a soldering iron to 'em. A new Tokai, I could, if necessary... unless a 1000/2000 'chassis' turns up on the 'bay...
Just when I think I'm sorted, something else always turns up.

See that’s what I mean. I’ll never see an SC1200 sell for less than $600 in USA.
