I find anything over 2 meters can be problematic but I think it depends on the particular keyboard. I guess just keep it a short as you can.

Not too long, or it might have trouble. The manual should tell you the recommended maximum length of a USB cable. If you go over that length, there can be problems with the signal.
Understood. The problem is that my keyboard is a bit far away from my computer. :(

If distance is an issue, and you don't mind paying a bit more, Yamaha makes a USB Bluetooth adapter. I think you plug the adapter into the keyboard, then it lets you send and receive MIDI via Bluetooth.

Hum, I'll research about that. Interesting. Thanks for mentioning. And, yes, unfortunately, distance is a problem.

Just make sure you look at the USB one, as they also make a MIDI version and you don't want that one.

It doesn't seem to be listed on the Yamaha Brazil site, so I don't know if that means it isn't available in Brazil, but it's this one:
