Hello, I am new to the forum. I just bought a Yamaha Modx6+. My friend sent me a Yamaha montage set. I extracted the zip file to USB and copied it. It starts to upload to the MODX as a backup file, but it is almost finished. It is an illegal file. It gives a warning and does not finish loading. How can I solve this problem? It sounds like the file is corrupt in come way, simple as that. Can you get your friend to test the file on their keyboard first?

Another possible issue is that the source file might be fine and has copied to the USB stick fine but the MODX does not like the USB stick and it may be corrupt in some manner. Have you tried reformatting the USB stick (best option is to format it on the MODX)?
