Yes, but we don't want to discourage anyone from contributing either
I would reword it slightly to "Next time, please check beforehand, cheers"
Cheers!

Hi Lacko,
That's interesting. I found a Youtube video about the "The Best of Genos pack" here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=-dFJqIBB3QA
I'm at work at the moment and have to wait untill I'm home untill I can listen to it, but if it sounds good, I will probably get it.

Hi Jugge,
please let us know how good are those voices in SX720.

I have not decided if I will buy this voice pack.
I have listen to the voices in the video and they sounds good to me, but I dont have a Genos anymore so I can tell if they are as good as the orignal Genos voices.
Also, since those voices will be installed on the internal drive, I'm not sure if a style or song that includes Genos voices will use them automatically or if I need to change all styles/songs manually to include them?

These voices will be installed into expansion memory (not into user memory), so every style which needs these voices must be changed manually.

Many thanks Stallone
I may eventually update my SX 900 to a 920 but in the meantime it’s great to be able to evaluate the new styles.
Kind regards

Yamaha uses .sty, .bcs, .prs and .sst suffixes.

As mentioned before, there are no wrong extensions. Yamaha uses different extensions for styles to describe different accompaniment characteristics:
sty -normal style (as can be created on keyboards with Style Creator)
prs -pro style (I think that's for styles which have at least one chord variation implemented by using 0..7 channels)
sst -session style
We can change extension (i.e. from sty to prs) and the style will still be recognized by keyboard and will work exactly the same as before.

The style extensions stand for
sty = normal style
pst = pianist (solo piano)
pcs = piano combo
sst = session
prs = pro
bcs = basic
fps = free play
These extensions simply control the screen icon displayed.
