The iLoud have good reviews as well. And I like the fact the drivers are protected with grilles.
One thing that I don't like is the external power supply. But it's not a showstopper.
I am quite pleased with HS4 and HS7 pairs I have. Maybe one more model to look at is the HS3.

Yamaha HS7 / Yamaha HS4 / Yamaha Pacifica 112VM
Santa phoned in and said he is bringing an MG-16XU mixer so that all my stuff can finally be connected.
I will be rearranging the whole thing so Montage, GAIA, TR-8S, SY-77 and 404 will always be ready to go.
Montage and SY will be on stands. The table will hold speakers, mixer, Mac mini and the smaller synths.
We'll see how it goes.

Work has been literally dead for months now and I'm hoping I won't be selling my gear. That's all I'm hoping for is some work to pay bills.
Last gear I got was "free" with Musician's Friend reward points and was the Behringer Solina String-Ensemble which could almost fit in a stocking unless yours is filled with coal.

Good mixer and clean sounding mixer. SY77 plus subtle phaser and chorus controlled via mixer = lush
compression on each input is handy. 4 aux's is handy as well.

Yes, the built-in effects in SY77 are somewhat weak. I hope to use the mixer in this way too.
It also has a built-in USB audio interface that outputs to 15/16. I will use this for Roland cloud with the SY77 as master keyboard. Santa is also bringing this: https://www.thomann.de/gr/cme_u6_midi_pro.htm

Will use them all really, too many keyboards here

I'm not asking for them but he might surprise me with headphones... there's a new 720 in the house and with my enthusiastic lack of skills I might not blame him

The grungy effects of the SY77 are part of its charm and character.
I have plenty of pristine FM in my studio if I want it, but there is something about the SY77....
You are right, there is something with SY77.
I have a Montage near it, of course it's superior in so many ways.
There is still something with the 77 that connects with me. Can't pinpoint it but I like it. And I've only scratched the surface yet.
