Barrie V ~ (just one more) Summer of Love ~ Yamaha SY85

Unread post by barriev »

'just one more Summer of Love', like many songs, has been, and is yet still a journey.
I wrote the Lyrics and Melodies in 2001 originally, and I undertook this stage of the journey solo, with very basic kit, (see below) in Pembroke, Wales, and Bushbury, Wolverhampton, in the West Middle Kingdom.
'Summer of Love' was recorded and mixed on a coal-fired 1998 600 mhz windoze pc with 128mb ram (yes, really.. 128mb ram - You could see the steam blasting out the sides during the latter stages.. as I say.. it was coal-fired.. :)
I used an old copy of the great Cooledit as my 'DAW', a cheap Behringer B5 condenser, a Takamine acoustic guitar, persistence.. and a Yamaha SY85 workstation for everything that isn't voice or guitar.. (oh and a fair old dollop of Love).
