This is my THR10 patch library for my stratocaster (around 40 presets). My preferred ones are: Blues (Y) , Riverside, Comfortably Numb, Jealous Guy, California Dreamin... Of course, the result can depend a lot on the position selected on your Strat (7 positions on my HSS) or other guitar, so you have to experiment.
Thank you so much ((i)) ((i)) it's SO COOL to try out someone else's sounds. ((i))
My "Strats" are all Yamahas : EGK-300 , SE-912A , NSX-2000 and the 12-string PAC-303-12
Over the next couple of days, I'll test your work with different guitars.

Patch collection trying to get close to different artists guitar sounds. added July 13 2018.
When new sounds are added, this library will disappear, and the new one will be uploaded.

There are a few bass patches, most of them in the THR-10 patch and library files.

It would be awesome to have a large collection of bass patches in a library collection.

Bass player(s) to test BASS THR-10 patches

Unread post by Buzzard » Tue Jul 17, 2018 11:51 am

Do we have any BASS PLAYERS out there also using THR-10 (the off white cabinet) :?:

Have you created any BASS PATCHES you want to share :?:

I'm currently working on a THR BASS library with several bass patches.
Just about ANY bass player is better qualified (than me) to test the upcoming library.

Any volunteers ?

Hi

Apologies if this has been asked before - i have just started to learn to play the guitar after my 50th birthday and have recently purchased a THR 10 am which is great.
I enjoy playing shadows music and have come across a patch on this site for the THR10.

My question is - i have managed to download an open the patch while connected to my computer, but i want to use this patch when i am not connected to my computer, do i simply press and hold one one the user presets on the unit and it will be stored there

Hi Clarky,

welcome to the THR Forum. As a new THR user, don't hesitate to ask questions and share your experience with us.

The answer is: yes, you can store 5 presets. Note that all the THR Editor parameters that can not be set with any knob of the amp are also stored in those preset buttons.

Can someone point to a link to resolve this, please?

Hi Robert,

sorry, but what do you mean exactly by "I get invalid model on everything" ? Is there an error message "invalid model" when you try to import a patch in the THR Editor ?

That's exactly what happens. A dialog box pops up saying "Invalid Model" when I try to import a single patch. Originally, i thought it was because I tried to import a straight THR10 patch, but then I tried a THR10C patch and got the same message.

OK. Have you installed the THR Editor V1.0 or the V1.1.0 ? The last one supports the THR10C: "v 1.1.0 Support for new THRs ( THR10X, THR10C, THR5A )" (https://usa.yamaha.com/support/updates/57648_en.html)

Do you have the same problem with the "Preset Library for THR10C Editor" available on the Yamaha site: https://usa.yamaha.com/support/updates/57652_en.html ?

No.

I have noticed something different between files. I've exported from my editor and imported fine. When I open the files with a text editor, the files I export have some binary between DTAP and the name of the patch, whereas the files I've gotten here don't. It seems our two editor programs are exporting the files differently.

Since the options for the THR editor are extremely simple and have no export/import options, it may be something in the windows configuration.

I have downloaded several individual presets (.YDP) and libraries (.YDL). The first ones begin with "DTAP" and the second ones with "DTAB":

Code: Select all

$ hexdump -C Hell_MG.YDP
00000000 44 54 41 50 01 01 00 02 00 48 65 6c 6c 5f 4d 47 |DTAP.....Hell_MG|

...

Code: Select all

$ hexdump -C 'Buzzard THR10X.YDL' | more
00000000 44 54 41 42 30 31 64 00 00 00 00 02 00 4e 69 6e |DTAB01d......Nin|

Um...I must have been real tired after work. I could have swore I was trying to import THR10C patches and getting invalids. I feel so embarrassed.

But I also noticed you were dumping THR10X patches. I have the 10C. So I've been trying to import THR10 to my THR10C and you were dumping THR10X files. I think we both need to just play, but I need to get some sleep now. I'm an early morning riser, but only functional in detail if I get a decent night's sleep.

I also have guitar class tomorrow.

:confusion-confused:

Oh, I still love my 10C.

Hmm

 Just in case, here's the THR-10C library: viewtopic.php?f=135&t=9613#p56104

I hope this one loads right into your computer giving access to all patches to use with your amp.
