NAMM 2018: New Fender Offset Guitar – The Meteora
Apparently Images and specs for a new Fender guitar, the Meteora, have leaked online ahead of the guitar’s launch at NAMM.
The new guitar is a sort of Jazzmaster/Telecaster hybrid and recalls various Telemasters and the rare Voyager prototype circa 2012. The Meteora’s specs stay true to its visual inspirations, with Custom Shop Vintage-Style Tele and Twisted Tele single-coil pickups and a 25.5” scale maple neck with American Vintage ’65 Jazzmaster profile and black block inlays.
The limited-edition electric’s ash body is finished in gloss nitrocellulose, and features a bone nut and deluxe staggered tuners, plus an American Professional Tele bridge with compensated brass saddles. It actually looks fantastic and I can’t wait to try one.
The Meteora is expected to retail at £1,599 when it launches.
