I think KORG and Moog have started something here. First, they gave away their software in the form of the KORG iKaossilator and the Moog Minimoog Model D, then yesterday Cherry Audio announced they were making their ‘Voltage Modular Nucleus’ software free for the foreseeable future. That is normally a $99 piece of software!
And today Native Instruments have joined the pack and are giving away ‘Analog Dreams’…but only until the end of March so you will need to grab it within the next few days.
Of course, Native Instruments are not new to giving away free software. In fact, I don’t think it is too much of a stretch to say you could probably complete a full album using just the software they give away for free! Awaken new ideas with ground-shaking basses; rich, mellow pads; cutting leads; plucked percussive sounds; and quirky effects. Just choose your sound sources, then blend and tweak to create the synth tones of your dreams.
