Record Store Day Unsigned Competition with Breed Media Returns!
The nationwide competition returns bigger and better than ever with support from: Nina Nesbitt, Abbey Road Studios, Bowers & Wilkins, Truck Festival and Charmfactory.
Record Store Day and Breed Media have announced the return of the RSD Unsigned competition, which gives one UK artist the opportunity to have their music pressed onto 500 vinyl records. This year, the competition has expanded, offering emerging artists a chance to showcase their music and further their careers.
To participate, artists need to upload their original music to YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram using the hashtag #RSDUnsigned and submit the link via Breed Media’s submission page. The competition is open to all genres.
A panel of industry professionals will judge the entries, including Karen Emanuel (CEO, Key Production Group and Breed Media), singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt, Gary Smith (Truck Record Store), and Julie Weir (Sony Music).
The winner will have their music pressed on vinyl, receive an exclusive mastering session at Abbey Road Studios (provided by Bowers & Wilkins), and perform at Truck Festival, a four-day independent music festival in Oxford. Additionally, the winner will join an 8-week Talent Development Programme with Charmfactory, which will offer guidance on navigating the music industry.
Previous RSD Unsigned winners have gone on to receive radio play, tour across the UK, and perform at festivals. Submissions are open until November 9.
