Yamaha Drums UK Presents Exclusive Performances and Classes with Drumming Legend Dave Weckl

Yamaha Drums UK is honored to announce exclusive performances with drumming legend Dave Weckl this November, extending a European tour that celebrates 30 years with Yamaha Drums.

During the drum clinics, Weckl will perform and also teach many of his approaches to the drum set. He will also, answer questions and sign autographs after each event. These events will provide a rare opportunity to experience a legendary drummer up-close.

Weckl will also be running intimate “One-Day Intensive” master classes, which are limited to just 12 attendees. Open to players of all ages and playing abilities, the “Intensives” offer many benefits of a small-group learning environment, as Weckl will be spending a great deal of individual time with each player. Dave Weckl has developed and maintained a reputation among fans, peers, and the international music community as one of the greatest living drummers. He has released 12 titles under his own name and the Dave Weckl Band, and is well known for his recordings with jazz legends Chick Corea, Mike Stern, Michel Camilo, George Benson, Simon and Garfunkel, and more. Modern Drummer magazine inducted Weckl into their Hall of Fame and named him “one of the 25 best drummers of all time.”

Yamaha Drums UK and Dave Weckl are proud to make these dates possible in cooperation with selected Yamaha Drum dealers. All performances along this tour will be played using Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple Drums. The new line of high-end drum shells is the latest generation of Yamaha’s prestigious “Yamaha Absolute Series” and has adapted many innovations and features from the Yamaha “PHX” flagship series.
