Yamaha Drums today announced the signing of Ryan Brown to the company’s DTX artist roster, and Lee Kelley and Corey Rawls to the acoustic drums artist roster. Ryan Brown – Yamaha DTX Artist – DTX-Multi 12, EAD10. In addition to drumming for Dweezil Zappa, Brown plays with Los Angeles-based bands The Young Royals, Black Belt Karate and Madras, among others. Brown can also be heard on releases by Foreigner, Hannah Montana, Clay Aiken, Nick Lachey, Jesse McCartney, Heather Graham as well as on the movie soundtracks for Ice Age: Continental Drift (Adam Schlesinger), Kung Fu Panda (Hans Zimmer and John Powell) and The Dark Knight (Hans Zimmer).
Ryan will be touring with Dweezil in September.
Lee Kelley – Yamaha Acoustic Drums Artist – Tour Custom Maple drum set (Licorice Satin finish) with 800 Series
Hardware. As of May 2019, Kelley performs with the legendary Hank Williams Jr. Highlighting his extensive resume, Kelley has performed on national and international tours and TV appearances with artists such as Gary Allan, Shannon Lawson, Mark Chesnutt, Heidi Newfield, Chris Knight and Kendell Marvel.
Lee is currently touring with Hank Williams Jr.
Corey Rawls – Yamaha Acoustic Drums Artist – Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple drum set (Red Autumn finish) with 800 Series Hardware.
After graduating from Rutgers Gross School of Music with a master’s degree in jazz studies, Rawls played with many prestigious musicians such as Kenny Garrett, Bill Evans, Mark Whitfield and Victor Bailey.
Currently, Rawls is balancing his career as the principal drummer for the off-Broadway show “The Secret Life of Bees” and recording and performing with the Mark Gross Quintet and The Horne Electric Band, among an extensive list of other New York-based artists.
