Yamaha Names Charleston-Based Fox Music House 2019 Southeastern ‘Dealer of the Year’
Yamaha Corporation of America has named Charleston-based Fox Music House its 2019 piano “Dealer of the Year” in its Southeastern region, recognizing it as one of the company’s exceptional retailers.
Fox Music House is a family-owned and run business founded nearly a century ago in 1928 by Otto Z. Fox and his wife Sarah. The store is now managed by their great-grandson Joseph Fox under the ownership of Joseph’s father Charles.
“Our deepest thanks go out to Yamaha for this recognition,” said Joseph. “Serving our community according to the principles of quality, honesty and excellence handed down by my great-grandfather has been a privilege, and we look forward to continuing that service.”
Presenting the award, Travis Mitchell, director, piano channel sales, Yamaha, remarked, “Charles, Joseph and their talented staff exemplify the philosophy we at Yamaha strive every day to uphold: encouraging a creativity and passion in budding and seasoned musicians alike that will not only help them grow artistically but also spark the same instinct in others.”
The Dealer of the Year award in the Southeastern region goes to the top-rated Yamaha dealer in seven southeastern U.S. states plus parts of Virginia and Arkansas.
The Yamaha Dealer of the Year honors is awarded by the company based on a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to sales growth, overall customer experience and positive feedback, knowledgeability and helpfulness of store staff, participation in outreach to the local community and much more. Yamaha expanded the evaluation process for Dealer of the Year this year to cover a much more expansive set of criteria reaching beyond sales performance.
