Yamaha Red Label

Yamaha’s Red Label guitars were probably the most popular acoustic guitar in the world at one point. Introduced back in the 60’s when Japanese built guitars were starting to make a real name for themselves they were an all laminate construction but Yamaha had perfected the process and these guitars sounded just fantastic. They have stood the test of time and are still sought after today.

Here we are in 2019 and Yamaha have announced a new range of ‘Red Label’ guitars in both FG and FS formats.

Taking all they have learned through more than 50 years since the first Red Label guitars appeared, the new series take things to a whole new level.

Blending modern inspiration with a timeless design the new Red Label series feature a classic semi-gloss finish and high-quality components.

These new FG/FS Red Label guitars really capture that authentic vintage look. With mahogany back and sides paired with a premium Sitka spruce top that’s treated with Yamaha’s Acoustic Resonance Enhancement process for genuine aged-wood tone and sustain. There is also a new scalloped-bracing design that delivers plenty of volume.

The groundbreaking Atmosfeel three-way pickup system provides a natural acoustic sound when amplified.
