Steinberg Announces Cubasis 3.7 and Iconica Sketch for iPhone and iPad

Steinberg has announced the release of Cubasis 3.7, the latest update to its award-winning music app, and Iconica Sketch, the first app-based version of its renowned orchestral instrument, now available for iPhone and iPad.

Cubasis 3.7 introduces enhanced tempo and time signature support, allowing users to create music in complex or unconventional time signatures like 3/4, 7/8, or 15/16. Multiple tempo and time signature changes or ramps can now be added with ease, making it simpler to turn ideas into exceptional tracks.

The update also includes the FM Classics IAP, featuring the free DX7 voice ROM 101–106. This adds 384 classic 1980s Yamaha DX7 and TX81Z sounds, including keyboards, synthesizers, percussion, wind instruments, and sound effects.

Iconica Sketch is a standalone iOS/iPadOS app that brings a 34-instrument orchestra with 140 articulations to mobile music creation. Its Adaptive True Legato system intelligently adjusts to playing speed for highly expressive, authentic performances, making orchestration simple even for beginners. Iconica Sketch integrates seamlessly as a free plug-in for Cubasis users, offering enhanced performance. For Android users, Iconica Sketch is available as an in-app purchase in Cubasis.

Availability

Cubasis 3.7 is available on the App Store for €59.99 / $49.99 and on the Google Play Store for €29.99 / $29.99. Prices may vary by region. The update is free for existing Cubasis 3 users.

As an introductory offer, Cubasis is available at a 40% discount from December 17, 2024, to January 7, 2025, with in-app purchases discounted by up to 50%.

Iconica Sketch for iPhone and iPad is available at an introductory price of €19.99 / $19.99 until January 7, 2025, after which it returns to its regular price of €26.99 / $26.99 on the App Store. For Android users, it is available as an in-app purchase via Cubasis.
